Why did you get involved with Rio Verde Animal Rescue?

I have followed Donna and her late father’s journey from the beginning.  When Donna decided Rio Verde Animal Rescue would apply for non-profit status, I welcomed the opportunity to become a part of it.  It is truly and honor and privilege to be associated with this group of individuals and the helping of animals.

If there is one thing that people could take away about Rio Verde, what would it be?

The one take away I would stress is the love and commitment it takes in caring for large animals.  It is individuals like Donna and organizations like Rio Verde Animal Rescue that provide a viable option of unwanted large animals.

What would you like to see Rio Verde become in the next 3-5 years?

The initial goal of Rio Verde is to eliminate the subsidizing of operational expenses and become self sustaining.  Through donations, fundraising, and sponsorship’s, Rio Verde has the opportunity to grow.  Growth includes expanded facilities that would allow for 10 or more horses.

Do you have any other non-profit experience/involvement?

No, this is my first experience with a non-profit organization.  I believe my professional experience can assist with the organization.  In return, being associated with such a worthy cause is very rewarding.
